Nail Care FAQ

Quick answers about manicures, pedicures, gel, hygiene, preparation, and aftercare. If you’re unsure what to book, call us and we’ll guide you.

How long does a manicure or pedicure take? +

Timing depends on the service and add-ons. Many manicures take about 30–45 minutes, and pedicures take about 45–60 minutes. Gel services or spa upgrades may take longer. We’ll confirm timing when you book.

Do you offer gel polish, and how long does it last? +

Yes, gel polish is popular for its glossy finish and longer wear. Many clients get 2–3 weeks of wear depending on nail growth, lifestyle, and aftercare.

Can you remove old gel polish safely? +

Yes. Proper removal helps protect your natural nails. We recommend avoiding peeling gel at home, as it can weaken the nail surface. Let us know in advance if you need removal so we can book enough time.

What’s included in a classic manicure? +

A classic manicure typically includes nail shaping, cuticle care, gentle buffing, moisturizing, and polish (if selected). Exact steps may vary based on your nail condition and goals.

What’s included in a classic pedicure? +

A classic pedicure commonly includes a foot soak, nail shaping, cuticle care, light exfoliation, moisturizing, and polish (if selected). Spa upgrades may add more exfoliation and hydration.

Can you help with dry heels, rough skin, or calluses? +

Yes. For dryness or rough heels, we recommend a spa pedicure or hydration upgrade. For best results, regular maintenance and daily moisturizing at home are helpful.

Is it safe if my skin is sensitive or I have allergies? +

Please tell us about any allergies or sensitivities when booking. We can suggest suitable products, adjust steps, and help you avoid ingredients that may irritate your skin.

What should I do before my nail appointment? +

Arrive a few minutes early. If you have gel or acrylic on, let us know so we can schedule removal time. If you have any cuts, infections, or pain in your hands/feet, please contact us before your visit.

How can I make my manicure last longer? +

For longer wear, we recommend:

  • Use cuticle oil or moisturizer daily
  • Wear gloves for cleaning and dishes
  • Avoid picking or peeling polish/gel
  • Book maintenance appointments on a consistent schedule
Do you accept walk-ins? +

Walk-in availability varies. Booking is recommended—especially on weekends. Call (604) 230-7429 to check same-day openings.

Hygiene note: For safety, please inform us if you have any active infections, open wounds, or severe pain on hands/feet before your appointment so we can advise the best next step.
